Black hole of my nightmares

This is why I never want to be an astronaut. Watching this video gave me enough anxiety to get my heart racing. At the beginning of my astronomy class back in Senior year, we got an assignment asking us why we were interested in learning about space. I wrote that I was afraid of the unknown mystery of space and wanted to learn more about it so there would be fewer things my imagination could make up to scare me. Unfortunately, it didn’t really work.

At first I thought I was afraid of the dark, and that’s kind of true. I’m not afraid of dark rooms or dark streets, I’m afraid of the dark. The ultimate darkness. And this black hole is about as dark as it gets.
