There is most definitely elitism in food, and for good reason. All food was not created equal, and it’s up to those who truly appreciate good food to spread the knowledge.
Living in California spoiled me with great Mexican food. But then I moved to Toronto and realized just how bad Mexican food can be. Moving to Virginia brought me back to the world of pretty good. But best of all, it brought me closer to corn tortillas.
If you think that there’s no difference between corn and flour tortillas, you probably lit some fireworks too close to your face as a child. Sit down, you don’t know anything. The other day I bought a fat stack of corn tortillas and have been frying quesadillas ever since. They are so good, I don’t think I even need to put any cheese on them. The tortillas alone are delicious. Tomorrow I’m going to go pick up some enchilada sauce and maybe some onions and other sides so I can make some damn good enchiladas. And with these tortillas, that really won’t be hard to do.
Join the revolution! Down with flour!

I’ve been bad. I know. I meant to take a little break, but that break got longer and longer. I even started writing a few blogs but never quite got around to finishing them. I’ll right that wrong eventually.
I’m very tired right now, to the point where I can feel the inside of my brain twitching. And yet… through this extreme fatigue, I seemed to have unlocked some sort of creative juice. Or at least some level of inspiration. Otherwise, how could I be writing a blog right now?
I’ve decided to get back into writing for Galadoria which requires some ideas for new stories and whatnot. I already posted a thread with a story idea based on the manga Hunter X Hunter, which I blogged about a while ago. That Wikipedia article has some serious issues, but at least you can get the gist from it. It’s a pretty good read and the characters in it have all kinds of different abilities and creativity bursting out of every page that as a writer, it can either make me want to jump off a cliff or it makes me feel like I don’t have an excuses to not be creative.
It also makes me want to steal Yoshihiro Togashi’s ideas. Which I did! Imitation is still the sincerest form of flattery, right? So long as I’m not making any money off of it. And it’s not like I’m misleading. it’s like writing fanfiction (except my stuff will actually be good). I have some people signed up to write with me, so I’m looking forward to this. And perhaps some writing as well. I just need to write! It hardly matters what. So long as I can write, and more importantly, do what I say I’m gonna do, everything will be worth it.
And that’s enough energy spent on this blog. I have planning to do.
